Bruce Estrem, BA, RRT-NPS, LRT is Manager of Clinical Education at PHS.  Bruce is responsible for the extensive PHS training programs utilized by in-home nursing staff, families and other allied health professional caring for technology dependent children in the home environment.   

As one of the six original employees of PHS starting in January of 1990, he has been able to call on his previous experience as a home care therapist for Glassrock and Baxter/Travenol as well as his hospital experience with Waconia, United and Bethesda hospitals to develop a deep understanding of the clinical and educational needs for the home staff.  Over the past dozen years Bruce has focused his energies on providing a variety of classroom training programs to ensure anyone working with medically fragile home care patients have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the function and application of the multiple pieces of medical equipment and procedures used in the home environment.

Bruce has a BA in Personal Communication from Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota.  He was awarded his Respiratory Therapy credentials in 1984 from St. Paul Technical College, St. Paul, Minnesota and is licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.  He has also presented at a number of local, national and international conferences on topics related to pediatric home care.
