Roy C. Maynard, M.D., is the Medical Director for PHS. He provides consulting and advice regarding the quality and effectiveness of the clinical care provided by the company. He practices as a Neonatologist and Pediatric Pulmonologist at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minn., a position he’s held since 1991. Roy serves as PHS’s clinical leader, working with the PHS team to provide quality care to children and their families in their own homes. He also leads implementation of clinical policies, procedures and programs to further enhance the best possible care for each child.
Roy completed his undergraduate degree at Penn State University and then attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He performed his residency in pediatrics and his fellowships in neonatology and pediatric pulmonology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Maynard also completed three years of service at Pine Ridge Indian Hospital in South Dakota as a general pediatrician before pursuing his fellowship training.
He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in general pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and neonatology. Roy is active with numerous professional societies and associations, including SKIP (Sick Kids Need Involved People), as Medical Director at a Camp for Technologically Dependent Children, SKIP (Minnesota), and is a member of the Minnesota Medical Association.
