Roy C. Maynard, M.D., is the Medical Director for PHS. He provides consulting and advice regarding the quality and effectiveness of the clinical care provided by the company. He is a Neonatologist and Pediatric Pulmonologist. He serves as a staff physician at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minn., a position he’s held since 1991. Roy serves as PHS’s clinical leader, working with the PHS team to provide quality care to children and their families in their own homes. He also leads implementation of clinical policies, procedures and programs to further enhance the best possible care for each child.
Roy completed his undergraduate degree at Penn State University and then attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He performed his residency in pediatrics and his fellowships in neonatology and pediatric pulmonology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Maynard also completed three years of service at Pine Ridge Indian Hospital in South Dakota as a general pediatrician before pursuing his fellowship training.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and neonatology. Roy is active with professional societies and associations, has worked as Medical Director for the SKIP (Sick Kids Need Involved People) camp in the past, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
