PHS Helps with How-To Videos at Home
You’re Never Alone
PHS understands that healthcare questions don’t always arise Monday through Friday from 8-5. This is why we have on-call clinicians available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We always want families and caregivers to feel supported. Calling in for troubleshooting help with a piece of equipment can sometimes sound a little like this: “you know that little blue thingy mabobber hanging off the tube”, or “the knobby deal on the front”, or “the alarm sounds kind of like eeeeee, oooooo, eeeeeee, ooooo”… have you ever been in this situation? I’m going to guess that you likely have.
In addition to being able to talk with a clinician at any time- day or night- PHS also creates how-to videos for common questions or troubleshooting problems. These videos help solve some of those over the phone communication difficulties, but they also provide a visual for those who English is not their primary language or people who just prefer to watch a video rather than read or hear directions.
Online and Searchable
Last week we launched our new education section on the PHS website where you can find all kinds of videos, slideshows and podcasts. The videos are sorted by categories to help families locate the material they are looking for. The subcategories include:
