Airway Clearance Technique and Equipment (2hrs)

Learn proper technique and function of equipment used for airway clearance. Attendees will actively perform postural drainage therapy with percussion utilizing; hand, palm cup, mechanical percussor, Vest System and Cough Assist devices. Correct patient positioning and associated risk factors will also be discussed and demonstrated.

· Contact hours will be awarded to all participants

· Special large group class arrangements on request

Objectives: Following the presentation, the participant will be able to;

1. Demonstrate proper airway clearance technique utilizing; hand, palm cup, mechanical percussor, "vest" system and Cough Assist device.

2. Describe risk factors associated with chest physiotherapy.
