Learn about portable and stationary suction machines, suction technique, suction accessories, heated-humidity systems, resuscitation bags, oxygen systems and safety, apnea monitors, pulse oximeters, and basic emergency preparedness as applied to the home environment.

Objectives: Following the presentation, the participant will be able to;
1. Correctly assemble the tubing system on a stationary and portable suction machine.
2. Demonstrate how to manually ventilate a fictitious patient with the rususcitation bag.
3. Identify and operate the mechanism of home care oxygen systems.
4. Place an oximeter probe in the proper position on a fictitious patient.
5. Use the MR-730 for supplemental heat and humidity with a heated wire circuit.
