Susan Wingert - President
Susan Wingert, President of Pediatric Home Service, founded the independent pediatric homecare company in 1990. As President, Wingert heads the Twin Cities leading pediatric home health care organization. A respiratory therapist by training, Susan has thirty years experience in respiratory care and clinical services.
Pediatric Home Service (PHS) provides specialized health care services to technology-supported children in their homes, with their families. PHS takes care of the child by recognizing and understanding the differences between the needs of infants, children, and adolescents. PHS works together with health care professionals, payers, and family caregivers – ensuring the continuity of care, one child at a time.
Prior to founding PHS, Wingert, a graduate of St. Catherine’s, St. Paul, MN (formerly St. Mary’s), held sales and director positions within home health care organizations including Glasrock Home Health Care, Travenol Home Respiratory, and Waconia Ridgeview Hospital.

Mark Hamman - Senior Vice President, Sales & Business Development
Mark Hamman joined Pediatric Home Service (PHS) as sales and contract manager in 2004. He is currently a member of the senior management team as the senior vice president, sales & business development. Hamman has over 13 years experience in sales and more than four years working in the clinical services industry.
In his current position, Hamman is responsible for creating and building relationships with local hospitals, integrated delivery networks and healthcare systems, pediatric caregivers, payers and providers of care in many pediatric settings. He is also responsible for selling new lines of service as well as negotiating contracts with payers.
In addition to his responsibilities in sales & business development, Hamman oversees the day to day operations of the customer service department, ensuring that we meet our promise to take care of the child by providing quality service to every caller.

Judy Giel, RRT, CRTT - Senior Vice President, Clinical Services
Judy Giel, a registered respiratory therapist and certified respiratory therapy technician, is senior vice president, clinical services of Pediatric Home Service (PHS). She has more than thirty years experience in respiratory care and clinical services.
Giel is a subject matter expert in respiratory and infusion therapy, and chronic disease management in children. She is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the respiratory, infusion, chronic disease, social service, nutrition and education departments of PHS, and working directly with the president to formulate and administrate organization policies.
Giel, a member of the senior management leadership team, joined PHS in 1997 as vice president, respiratory service. She has held several senior executive positions with PHS prior to her existing role, including vice president, sales and senior vice president, operations.
Prior to joining PHS, Giel held several senior executive positions in clinical services and respiratory therapy care in hospitals, including: executive director of Regional Kidney Disease Program; general manager and sales manager of Caremark (home infusion); district manager of Glasrock (home medical equipment); center manager of Baxter (home respiratory/medical equipment); administrative director, respiratory care of East Jefferson General Hospital, Metairie, La.; director of respiratory care of Mercy Hospital, New Orleans, La.; and she worked in the respiratory therapy department of Mount Sinai Hospital, Minneapolis.

Pam Clifton - Senior Vice President, Operations
Pam Clifton joined Pediatric Home Service (PHS) in 1999 as vice president of respiratory service. She is currently the senior vice president, operations and leads the activities of customer service, billing, warehouse, equipment processing and IT. A member of the senior management leadership team, Clifton works directly with the president to formulate and administer organization policies.
In addition to her clinical experience as a respiratory care practitioner, Clifton’s healthcare experience has focused on process improvement, regulatory compliance, program development, re-engineering and leadership. She has had speaking engagements as a subject matter expert on case management and has authored several articles for clinical publications.
Prior to joining PHS, Clifton was a consultant with Larson, Allen. Weishair & Co., LLP. Post-Acute Consulting. She held several other senior executive positions in respiratory and clinical areas including: Territory Manager, Respiratory Management, Spectra Rehab Alliance, Inc, Assistant Administrator, Bloomington Care Center Subacute Program and CEO, Northwest Homecare.

Michael Ruhs - Director of Corporate Communications
Michael A. Ruhs joined Pediatric Home Service (PHS) in 2005 as director of corporate communications. Ruhs is a member of the senior management leadership team and is responsible for planning, developing, and directing all corporate communications and marketing communications activities to maintain and expand the corporate brand and promote the sales of company products and services.
Ruhs has more than fifteen years experience in marketing and communications. Prior to joining PHS, Ruhs served as account director for DKY Advertising, Minneapolis. There he led several agency account teams including Cargill AgHorizons, General Mills Bell Institute of Health and Nutrition, and Pediatric Home Service. He oversaw all strategic planning direction and execution of long-term integrated marketing communications and creative for clients.
Before DKY, Ruhs held senior account management positions at advertising agencies, Colle & McVoy Marketing Communications, Inc. and Riley Hayes Advertising, where he was team leader for several business-to business and consumer products accounts.
Prior to his agency career experience, Ruhs served as marketing communications manager at Interactive Technologies, Inc., St. Paul, Minn., a wireless security systems manufacturer. He was also a communications project leader and copywriter for Cray Research, Inc., Eagan, Minn. Ruhs spent time as a consulting marketing communications executive for DataCard Corporation; Honeywell, Inc.; and Microsoft Corporation.
Ruhs earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Minnesota.
