Responsibilities

The RCP acts as a case manager. The clinician takes an active ongoing position in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the prescribed care for each child.

Credentials

Service is provided by Neonatal/Pediatric Specialists who are certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Respiratory Care Practitioners are registered in Minnesota and licensed in Wisconsin.

Geographic Coverage

PHS currently provides service for the state of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Competency

The capability of each RCP is verified annually through extensive skills testing.

Continuing Education

Each member of our clinical team is required to augment their professional competence by accumulating 24 continuing education credits every 2 years.

Patient Education

Appropriate educational literature is given to each family depending on the service provided. We have an array of brochures for all of our products and many diagrams explaining the "how to's" of a particular piece of equipment or supply. Much of this literature is used in marketing to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and other referral sources.
