Know the Nurses: Amanda Groh
If you have a home care nurse in your home, you already know what an important part of your life they become. Today in Know the Nurses, we’re introducing you to one of our home care nurses and preceptors, Amanda Groh, RN, who has been with PHS since February 2013. We already know these nurses provide comprehensive, round-the-clock care for patients in their homes every day, but here are a few fun facts about Amanda you might not know.
My husband James and I have been together for ten years, married for two.- Currently our only child is a Pug named Fishstick!
- I live in beautiful Red Wing
- I have had many kiddos in about a 50 mile radius. They’re all so sweet I wish I could see them every day!
- My husband and I are remodeling our home which was built in 1880.
- Prior to nursing I received a degree in marketing/sales. I sold print advertising for 3 years before deciding to switch my career.
I decided to become an RN so I could help people during their toughest times.- Pediatrics suits me well, I can play and sing with my PHS kids without looking too crazy!
- So far our favorite vacations are cruises. Fiji is my ultimate vacation dream!
- Flowers are my obsession. I always have to have fresh flowers in my home.
- Someday I hope to have enough land for a Peony farm and sell cut flowers at farmers markets.
