Logan Celebrates His 1st Birthday at Home Thanks to ERT

After being diagnosed with Pompe disease at 4 months old, Logan’s parents were unsure what their son’s life would look like by his 1st birthday. This month they celebrated with a happy, thriving boy 8 months later – one of their greatest joys after receiving this diagnosis that will require lifelong infusions of enzyme replacement therapy.

Every week, Logan gets a visit from two PHS infusion nurses who spend the day with him as they administer this infusion at home. Since beginning this process, Logan’s health has improved and his family has been able to adjust to their new normal – including regular work schedules, the opportunity to travel, and the chance for Logan to be in the comfort of his own home for the long infusions.
