Receiving IVIG at Home

Did you know infusions can be safely done at home? PHS has been providing a variety of infusion therapies safely and effectively in the home for 17 years, including intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG).

Because those who receive IVIG are immunocompromised, being able to receive the therapy at home reduces their exposure to germs and potential illnesses. Since visits from their PHS infusion nurse can be scheduled around their family’s schedule, there is more freedom to go about daily routines and activities. What does this mean? Quality of life is improved for both the patient and their families.

So how does IVIG at home work?
