Airway Clearance Technique and Equipment
In this class you will learn proper technique and function of equipment used for airway clearance. You will actively perform postural drainage therapy with percussion utilizing hand, palm cup, mechanical percussor, Vest Therapy, and Cough Assist devices. Correct patient positioning and associated risk factors will also be discussed and demonstrated.
- One (1) contact hour will be awarded to all participants.
- Special large group class arrangements on request.
Objectives: Following the presentation, you will be able to
1. Describe risk factors associated with chest physiotherapy.
2. Demonstrate proper airway clearance technique utilizing hand, palm cup, mechanical percussor, Vest Therapy, and Cough Assist devices.
