What is Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care?
A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center provides nursing and therapy services for children with medical complexities up to 12 hours per day.
The teams at PHC and PHS work together to deliver clinically excellent care that allow patients to live fully in their communities, whether at home or at utilizing one of our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centers.

Supporting families with comprehensive support
- In addition to nursing care provided by RNs and LPNs, your child will have access to therapy support for speech (SLP), physical (PT), and occupational (OT) therapies all while at the center.
- Our clinical teams are are experts in the care needs and the equipment required for medically complex pediatrics.
- Our centers are designed to provide social, developmental and age-appropriate stimulation.
- We offer wheelchair accessible transportation — making high quality care accessible.
- Services can be used in addition to private duty nursing hours — offering complete support for the whole family.
