At Pediatric Home Service, we believe strongly in the power of education to create the best-prepared staff and the most equipped communities. Our simulation programs reflect this commitment, offering high-quality, specialized training tailored to the needs of medically complex children.
These programs support our mission to drive innovation in-home care, enhance clinical skills, and elevate care for the medically complex population.
The PHS simulation center provides risk-free, hands-on learning for nurses and students at our Minneapolis, MN, office.* With state-of-the-art simulators and realistic medical scenarios replicated for the participant, this center offers training in a controlled environment to help build a healthcare professional’s skill set and confidence in delivering care.
*Our simulation center currently has limited capacity, and we are not accepting new participants at this time.
Our simulators represent a young boy and infant with medical complexities whose health can turn in a minute, much like many children in this population. By participating in the simulation, nurses are able to:
Bridge the education gap between classroom learning and clinical experience
Respond to realistic scenarios, including an obstructed trach, a seizure, and more
Learn from their performance review simulation to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement
