Continuous Intravenous Milrinone Therapy in Pediatric Outpatients
At PHS we are constantly working to understand medications and how they can positively impact the pediatric home care population. We are always working to advance information in the industry on how receiving care at home not only is a preferred location for patients, but also saves significant dollars as compared to the hospital setting. This study alone demonstrated a savings of approximately $15,000 per week compared to the hospital setting.
PHS’s Michelle Curley, Infusion Nursing Manager, Jill Liebers, Pharmacy Manager and Dr. Roy Maynard, Medical Director conducted this study on Continuous Intravenous Milrinone Therapy in Pediatric Outpatients and it was then published in an article in the Journal of Infusion Nursing.
