HealthPartners Awards Home Infusion Therapy Contract to Pediatric Home Service

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Pediatric Home Service (PHS), the pediatric home care company that is committed to taking care of the child, today announced that HealthPartners awarded PHS a new contract for providing infusion therapy support, supplies, medication and service to HealthPartners pediatric and adolescent patients. PHS has provided respiratory therapy care and services and home medical equipment (HME), specializing in high-tech respiratory therapy products such as oximeters, ventilators, apnea monitors, etc., to HealthPartners’ patients since 1993.

According to Mark Hamman, sales and contract manager, “It is a great benefit for caregivers, patients and their families to access both home care respiratory and infusion therapy services and supplies from PHS. There are many patients who require both IV and respiratory therapy care plans and services. Having one resource, and one that specializes in taking care of children, will result in less stress for everyone, better care coordination and continuity of care.”

PHS has built a reputation as the best resource for safe patient care plans, continuity of care and devotion to taking care of children, which is why Minnesota and Wisconsin healthcare organizations, hospitals, physicians and family caregivers choose PHS as their partner in caring for the child. PHS recently earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™. PHS was first accredited in 1994 and has participated in five Joint Commission surveys; PHS is now in its 13th year of consecutive JCAHO accreditation. Effective January 2006, Joint Commission surveys are unannounced and use the “patient tracer methodology,” which is a way to analyze an organization’s system of providing care, treatment, and services using actual care recipients as the framework for assessing standards compliance.
