Pediatric Home Service Receives Seventh Consecutive Accreditation from The Joint Commission

St. Paul, Minn. – Homecare company Pediatric Home Service has earned its seventh consecutive accreditation and Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission, a not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies health care organizations and programs throughout the nation. This accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting performance standards.

A pediatric homecare company providing specialized health care to medically-complex, technologydependent children in their homes, PHS was first accredited in 1994 and is now in its 19th year of demonstrating compliance with Joint Commission national standards for homecare organizations. PHS must undergo an unannounced on-site survey by a team from The Joint Commission every three years to earn and maintain the commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.™

“Everyone at PHS works very hard every day to stay compliant with The Joint Commission’s standards,” says Suzie Clifton, Accreditation and Patient Safety Coordinator at PHS. “We perform audits, hold process improvement groups, and provide extensive training to employees to ensure we are maintaining reliable, safe, quality care for our patients. PHS partners with The Joint Commission by participating in a periodic performance review, in which we go through the accreditation manual and confirm all standards are being met, as well by participating in our on-site survey. Being accredited shows the dedicated work and excellent patient care each employee brings to our company.”
