PHS Top Spots: Favorite Family Overnight Getaway

This past summer, PHS announced our list of 2020 PHS Top Spots winners. While we are just as excited to celebrate these amazing organizations as we have been in past years, most celebrations for these recipients are taking place virtually. The current social distancing recommendations gives us an opportunity to share more insights on our blog as to what makes these groups and organizations stand-outs on our 2020 Top Spots list.

PHS TOP SPOTS WINNER: FAVORITE FAMILY OVERNIGHT GETAWAY

PHS Top Spots is an annual resource for families of children with special needs. We provide comprehensive pediatric home care services to help kids with medical complexities live as fully as possible at home. We think it is important to support not only the physical needs of each child, but also do everything we can to support emotional needs of the whole family. One way we get to do that is by providing resources and guides.

Each May, we survey families throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin to hear their favorite spots that are accessible for special needs. We are so happy to announce Great Wolf Lodge with locations in Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Bloomington, MN, was named a Top Spot for a favorite family overnight getaway.

“Thank you for honoring us in this manner,” said Jason Lasecki, director of media communications at Great Wolf Resorts.

Great Wolf Resorts is North America’s largest family of indoor waterpark resorts and, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, owns and operates family resorts under the Great Wolf Lodge brand. Great Wolf Resorts is a fully integrated resort company with locations in states across the Northeast, Midwest, South, West and Canada.

PAW PLEDGE: PLAY SAFE

Face coverings are mandatory for all guests ages 5 and older. The resort has also temporarily suspended or closed services to maintain health and safety standards. This includes the fitness center, valet and bell service, ATM, vending and ice machines, and hot tubs.

CATERING TO YOUR NEEDS

At Great Wolf Lodge, chefs are passionate about preparing culinary options to accommodate all food allergies and dietary restrictions. They are happy to assist with your dietary needs and encourage you to speak directly with their chef so your meal can be prepared safely.

Their culinary team does not use or serve peanuts or peanut-based products in any of their Great Wolf Lodge branded restaurants to help avoid the common food allergen. They also have separate allergy-free prep areas that are utilized when preparing meals for guests with dietary restrictions.

You are invited to email their team at food.minnesota@greatwolf.com to discuss your dietary needs before your stay, and ask to speak to a chef at each of their on-site restaurants before ordering so they can accommodate any needs you have.
