Emergencies + Complex Pediatrics Conference Prepares Nurses for the Unexpected

Recognizing the need to educate home care professionals on what to expect when an emergency occurs in the home, Pediatric Home Service will host an Emergencies and Complex Pediatrics Conference for Home Care Nurses on April 27, 2017 at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN.

This day-long education opportunity will offer 7 contact hours for $100 as nurses learn from some of the leading health care professionals in the metro area. Session topics include:

  • Collaboration with EMS: roles, when to call, and what to do when EMS arrives
  • Managing the emotional and social complexities of an emergency
  • How to respond to anaphylaxis
  • Sepsis: signs and symptoms
