Resources for Donating and Receiving Winter Coats

With the weather getting cooler and winter jackets coming out of storage, it’s a time to remember that there are many families in the area without the means to provide an adequately warm coat for themselves or their children during these cold months.

To help families in need, there are a number of jacket distribution drives happening around Minnesota. Does your family have coats that have been outgrown or sit in the closet unused? Coats for Kids has a number of drop off sites across the metro, making it easy and convenient for people to drop off new or gently used coats. Additionally, if you are in need of a winter coat for your child, Salvation Army centers will be distributing the received donations on October 29 at these ten locations.
