Diagnosis: Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)
Services used: Respiratory therapy and equipment
Due to the progressive nature of DMD, ensuring Jordan maintains sufficient airflow into and out of the lungs, while also receiving proper nutrition is the primary focus.
PHS respiratory therapy department provides access to 24/7 support for Jordan’s tracheostomy, ventilator, supplies and ancillary equipment, including a food pump and nutrition products.
Jordan remains healthy while attending school and enjoying life at home with his family.
““Robi (respiratory therapist) makes me feel comfortable, even though he roots for the wrong hockey team. We have fun, and he the keeps the chaos of disability from being my problem.””
